Professor Ngamjit Kasetsuwan, MD, graduated from Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, accomplished her residency training program in Ophthalmology at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, and was certified in Cornea and Refractive Surgery fellowship training at Doheny Eye Institute, University of Southern California, the United states. Prof. Ngamjit is an expert in ocular surface diseases, cornea and external eye infection, and keratoplasty; she also specializes in refractive surgery, including corneal and lenticular refractive surgery and keratoconus.
Currently, Prof. Ngamjit is the Director of Cornea Division and Chula Refractive Surgery Center, Department of Ophthalmology, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University. In this position, Prof. Ngamjit works on all aspects of cornea diseases and refractive surgery services. In academic activities, she has published much research in high-impact factor journals and has written many chapters in ophthalmology textbooks. Not only that, but she has also taken responsibility for the social with all her effort. Every year, she provides a charity project for the patients and the public, such as Keratoconus Family Day, Lid Day, etc., in order to make them understand the diseases more clearly and take care of themselves more properly.
Based on her work, experiences, and dedication, Prof. Ngamjit was appointed to act as President of the Cornea and Refractive Surgery Society of Thailand for 5 years and Scientific President of the Thai Red Cross Eye Bank for more than 10 years until now.
