Prof. Hungwon Tchah, Professor Emeritus of the University of Ulsan Department of Ophthalmology, consulting physician at the Kim’s Eye Hospital Kongyang University is a recognized leader in corneal, cataract, refractive, and laser surgery. He was graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine and finished his residency at Seoul National University Hospital Department of Ophthalmology in 1986. He has been at the forefront of ophthalmology’s evolutionary changes throughout his career as a researcher, educator, lecturer and acclaimed physician and surgeon.

Prof Tchah served as President of the Korean Ophthalmological Society (2016~2018) and the Korean Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (2009~2011) and as Head of the Korean Corneal Disease Study Group (2007~2009). He also served as a member of Cataract Clinical Committee of ASCRS. He is currently Vice President of Asia Dry Eye Society, Board member of APACRS, Council member of APAO and Regional Editor in Chief of EyeWorld. Prof. Tchah has published almost 250 peer reviewed journal articles.
