Dr Jie Zhang is a senior lecturer in the Department of Ophthalmology, New Zealand National Eye Centre, University of Auckland, New Zealand. She is a translational scientist who uses her background in biomedical sciences to devise treatments for ophthalmic conditions. Her research focuses on regeneration of the cornea using stem cells, scaffolds, and pharmacological treatments.
